"And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:15-16
At Sharon Methodist Church, we believe that prayer has the power to change lives. As a result, we have an active prayer ministry that takes place in a variety of settings: in worship, within the various prayer groups that meet each week, the prayer chain, and even online. And our worship experiences, Bible studies, and gathering are always engulfed in prayer!
MONDAY PRAYER GROUP - Prayer Warriors meet every Monday at 8 AM. Sharon prayer warriors gather to cover our church in prayer. All are welcome!
PRAYER CHAIN - We have both an electronic and live prayer chain which we activate for requests as volunteer prayer warriors cover situations and people in prayer.
FACEBOOK PRAYER PAGE - Our church maintains a private prayer page where approved church family can share celebrations and prayer needs to be prayed over as requested.
PRAYER AROUND THE FLAGPOLE - We gather at the flagpole at several local schools to pray with students and staff before school throughout the month and year.
KNITTING MINISTRY - Our knitting ministry meets on Thursdays at 1:00 PM in the fellowship hall to knit or crochet prayer shawls, preemie baby hats, scarves, and hats for people without shelter, as well as other items as needed. These creations of love are prayed over during the process and regularly during worship.
If you or someone you know needs prayer, please click here to use the online contact form to email your prayer request or call the church office at 910-842-2929 for our electronic prayer text chains, our private Facebook prayer group, and our prayer phone tree for those on the team who are not online. Your request is sacred and confidential and will be prayed for in a loving, compassionate manner. If desired, someone will contact you in the coming days.
And we love hearing about how God is answering your prayers!
Help us be a praying church, loving people to Christ.
